NOVA Nighthawk School Supplies Drive Ends Today
According to the July 14, 2024 “Capital One Shopping” Research Report, Americans spent a total of $94 billion on back-to-college shopping for the 2023 school year, with the average household spending $1,366.95. Between 2022 and 2023, households’ back-to-college shopping budgets increased by $167.52.
As we enter the fall 2024 semester, the Office of Financial Stability and Advocacy would like to help our students who find it difficult to afford school supplies, by stocking up on some most needed items in our campus Nighthawk Nest Food and Personal Care pantries. The NOVA Nighthawk School Supplies Drive will wrap up on August 23, so please make any contributions by that date. Needed school supplies include:
- Notebooks
- Binders
- Pens
- Pencils
- Loose leaf college-ruled paper
- Highlighters
Drop off locations for donated school supplies will be at the Nighthawk Nest Food and Personal Care Pantries at the following locations.
