August 26, 2024 / Faculty/Staff Highlights

Three new NOVA Police dispatchers recently attended and completed the Basic Dispatcher School at the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy, where they received 2 weeks of extensive training on interpersonal communications, radio and telephone operating procedures, legal concerns, and emergency planning. Congratulations to Dispatchers Eman Haddad, Deirdra Kornegay, and Flodrica Williams McGinnis, who all graduated on August 16, 2024. All new dispatchers will now begin their extensive on-the-job field training, where upon completion will then be certified Dispatchers.

Please join us in congratulating our new Dispatchers and to welcome them to our public safety team.
