Microsoft Teams VIVA Connection Notifications

Microsoft released a new feature to enhance the visibility of Teams/SharePoint activity within the Teams app using Viva Connections. By default, users will receive notifications in their Microsoft Teams “Activity” feed when a news article is posted on a SharePoint site they follow/visit often, like NOVAnet, or on a Teams site when something is posted by a colleague they interact with often.

This is a standard default behavior and there are no global settings to turn off these notifications. However, you can turn them off for yourself. Please visit the Microsoft 365 NOVAnet page for directions on how to turn off or customize these notifications.
