Faye O’Brien has been a mentor and role model to many NOVA female STEM students since 2016, providing guidance and training to selected scholars in preparation for transitioning from the classroom to the boardroom. She is the founder and director of the Nvolve Scholars Program. See www.nvolveme.org to learn more.

Judy Marouf is a spring 2024 NOVA graduate and the outgoing president of NOVA’s Women In STEM Club. She is also recipient of a 2024 Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, and a current Nvolve Scholar.

Faye and Judy will present published data, analysis and their experience of the hidden expectations and challenges that female STEM graduates are likely to encounter in the workplace and how programs like Nvolve can help overcome them. The presentation will be followed by question and answer session.
