Using Zoom AI Companion Tools: New Tool and Best Practices

Zoom AI tools have been approved for VCCS Zoom faculty and staff and will be available starting Monday, September 16. The Zoom AI Companion features available in your licensed VCCS account include Meeting Summary, Meeting Questions, Smart Recording, and Whiteboard.  

Please note that, by default, the AI Companion icon will appear on your host toolbar when logged into Zoom using your updated and licensed VCCS account. However, the AI Companion features will remain inactive unless you choose to enable them during your meeting or manage the settings within your account. 

Review the Zoom AI Companion Resource Guide to learn more about the capabilities and how to use them.   You will find guidelines and information to help you effectively use the Zoom AI Companion Tools, including best practices for enabling the tools responsibly, ensuring transparency with meeting attendees, and verifying the accuracy of AI-generated content.
