The Northern Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (NOVAHCC) presented its sixth edition of the 2024 National Diversity Career Expo, serving as Region 7’s regional event. Students from Marymount University, The George Washington University and NOVA are all invited to attend. This annual event has a proven track record of creating meaningful professional connections and promoting workforce diversity in the Northern Virginia region. This year’s event is organized in partnership with Marymount University, the first Hispanic-Serving Institution in the D.C. metropolitan region.

This two-day event will take place at the Marymount University Ballston Center, 1000 N Glebe Rd, Arlington, on September 18 and 19 with a virtual wrap-up session on September 20.

“Our overall goal is to empower students and alumni not only in their career pursuits but also in their efforts to drive positive social change within the community,” said Dr. Brianna C.J. Clark-Williams, director of the Center for Career Development and Community Engagement.

This event, strategically held during Hispanic Heritage Month, was designed to connect diverse job seekers and interns with employers in the region. It provides valuable opportunities for job seekers gain access to a wide array of potential employers, and for employers to tap into a diverse talent pool, essential for driving innovation and growth within their organizations.
