Senate Seeks Members of Violence Prevention and Student Services Advisory Committees

The College Senate plans to nominate several people to two standing College committees. In our call last spring, we ended up a few people short. The terms for these assignments are for the remainder of this academic year (until May 2025).  

PLEASE get involved, meet great people and make sure your ideas and concerns are heard!

• The Violence Prevention Committee (VPC) needs a CLASSIFIED STAFF member. Click here to enter your name for the Violence Prevention Committee spot.
• And the Student Services Advisory Committee . Click here to enter your name for the Student Services Advisory Committee. We need the following five members:

• • Campus Student Life Representative
  • Teaching Faculty Representative
  • Teaching Faculty Representative
  • Workforce Representative
  • IET Representative

College Standing Committees are committees led and controlled by College leaders; the Senate does not lead these bodies, but the Senate appreciates College leaders asking for Senate nominations to a portion of these bodies. Here’s an explainer on committees at NOVA.
