MEC Students Walk for Diabetes

MEC Full-time faculty member Sherry Basham, MSDH, RDH organized a fundraiser event to bring awareness about diabetes and oral health. The event was held on the National Mall in Washington D.C. on Saturday September 21. The Northern Virginia Dental Hygienists’ Component sponsored an information table as well. First- and second-year dental hygiene students attended the “Step Out Walk-DMV” event along with other faculty.
