Student Conduct Formal Hearing Panel Training, Oct. 3 and 7
Formal Panel Hearing Announcement: The Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities (OSRR) will be hosting two student conduct formal hearing panel trainings for those interested in serving on hearing panels.
From time to time when a student conduct matter cannot be resolved informally, a formal hearing panel is called to decide if the accused student has violated the code of conduct and recommend sanctions if found responsible. The Formal panel is made up of faculty, staff and students who have been trained in the student conduct process to hear from all involved parties and render a decision of responsible or not responsible. If you are interested in serving on the Student Conduct Formal Hearing Panel, this 90-minute virtual training is for you. During this training you will receive an overview of the student conduct philosophy and practice. You will have a working knowledge of NOVA’s Student Conduct Due Process, burden of Proof, sanctioning and how to complete all paperwork associated with Formal Hearing Panel.
OSRR will host two identical virtual zoom trainings. Please RSVP for the training that best aligns with your schedule:
