October Is Cybersecurity Awareness Month
Since 2004, the president and Congress have declared October Cybersecurity Awareness Month, a dedicated month for the public and private sectors to work together to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity. This year marks the 20th Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and it has grown into a collaborative effort between government and industry to enhance cybersecurity awareness, encourage actions to reduce online risk and generate discussion on cyber threats on both a national and a global scale.
The IT Security, Audit & Compliance Department wants you to know we have your back, and we are here to provide you with as much information as possible to help you understand and identify online threats. We are dedicated to keeping you and NOVA’s data safe and secure.
