Share Career Services With a Nighthawk
From career workshops to networking events to one-on-one counseling, NOVA Business Engagement and Career Services team is committed to helping students develop the skills and connections they need to succeed.
Faculty and staff support is crucial in promoting career events and services to students. Here’s how Dr. Melvin Murphy, business and marketing professor, is helping to promote career services:
“I’ve made it mandatory for students to attend the college career fair as part of my course syllabus. This firsthand interaction with corporate representatives equipped students with invaluable insights in the job market. They gained knowledge of professional language, appropriate attire and essential self-representation skills for real-world scenarios.”
You can help by:
- Announcing upcoming events in your class or, when possible, bringing your class to a career event!
- Encouraging students to utilize Career Connection to access workshops, search for jobs/internships, build their resume, practice interviewing skills and scheduling an appointment with a career counselor.
