ADVANCE Updates and Academic Affairs Webinar, Today at 1

November 15, 2024 / General NOVA News

Academic Affairs will be hosting a webinar to review important policy reminders and helpful tips. The webinar will be held on today, November 15, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. It will also be recorded for those unable to attend the webinar. Click here to register.

Read on for an overview of topics to be covered during the webinar, including the latest updates on the ADVANCE Program: A NOVA | Mason Partnership.

Admissions Information: There is now a three-step process for students interested in joining the ADVANCE Program. To join ADVANCE, students need to complete the Declaration on the ADVANCE website. If admitted, students will receive a follow-up email asking them to confirm their intent to enroll through an online process. Once confirmed, students will receive another email asking them to select their ADVANCE Academic Pathway. Students who do not complete all three steps of the enrollment process by the advertised deadline will be removed from the program.

Important Expiration Notice: Beginning in Fall 2021, an ADVANCE milestone was changed from requiring continuous enrollment at NOVA to requiring students to complete their NOVA degree within four years of admission into the ADVANCE Program. Fall 2021 ADVANCE admits are approaching this four-year mark, with exceptions available for eligible students. More details on the expiration policy, who it affects, and guidance on whom to contact for assistance will be provided at the webinar.

Tips for Working with ADVANCE Students: Join the webinar to discover valuable tips for working with ADVANCE students, including insights on program placements, catalog year updates, co-enrollment processes, and more.

We look forward to seeing you in the webinar session!
