TimelyCare’s Faculty & Staff Guidance Line: Supporting You in Supporting Your Students

November 21, 2024 / Get Well

Students face a range of challenges, both academic and personal. As a faculty or staff member, you’re often the first to notice when a student is struggling. While you’re not expected to be a counselor, you are an essential bridge between students and the resources they need. Connecting students with the right tools can help them navigate difficult times and achieve their goals.

To better support your students, consider the following:

One element of NOVA’s support network is TimelyCare, which offers free virtual health and wellbeing services to both students and employees. • mental health issues
  • behavioral problems
  • academic stress
  • substance abuse concerns
  • social and emotional challenges and/or overall wellbeing
