Dr. Kim Grewe Appointed to Board of Open Ed. Conference

Kim Grewe, PhD, a seasoned open education researcher and practitioner and NOVA Online instructional designer, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Open Education Conference. Kim’s work in open education spans a decade. Her dissertation research centered on conversations with NOVA student focus groups about their OER use. She collaborates with NOVA teaching faculty to create OER for students using Pressbooks, helps manage the NOVA Open Publishing Pressbooks site and facilitates professional development workshops and courses on OER Basics, Open Pedagogy, Implementing OER and OER and Generative AI.

This year, Kim was also shortlisted for the 2024 OE Global Excellence in Education Catalyst award. She remains deeply committed to advancing equitable access to education and is thrilled to continue serving NOVA’s students and faculty through her work in this area.
