Join the VITA Program for the 2025 Tax Season!

December 13, 2024 / General NOVA News

Do you have an interest or experience in accounting, math, business law or tax preparation or just a desire to help others? If so, consider being a part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service. The VITA Program provides free tax preparation services to low-income families. At NOVA, we are looking for volunteers to help answer tax filing questions that students and/or their families may have. Volunteers will assist individuals virtually in the upcoming tax season, from February 1 through April 15, and training opportunities are happening now.

For more information on how you can become a certified volunteer, please contact financialstability@nvcc.edu.
