“Take 10 for You,” Dec. 18 at 11

December 16, 2024 / HR News/Training

Just in time for the busy holiday season, which is often filled with stress, anxiety and pressure, it’s important to prioritize self-care and find moments of peace amidst the chaos.

In today’s fast-paced environment, it’s easy to get caught up in deadlines, meetings and never-ending to-do lists. However, taking just 10 minutes a day for yourself can make a huge difference in your overall health and productivity. This brief period can be used for activities such as mindfulness, stretching or simply stepping away from your desk or chores to clear your mind. These small breaks can reduce stress, improve focus and increase overall job and personal satisfaction, leading to a more balanced and fulfilling personal and work life.

Presented by Amy Moore with the Virginia Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM), this workshop will be held on Wednesday, December 18, from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. Attendees will review the importance of dedicating a small but impactful amount of time each day to focusing on personal well-being. Participants will learn practical techniques to incorporate these short breaks into their daily routines, ensuring they can maintain their mental and physical health amidst their busy schedules. By prioritizing personal well-being, attendees can enhance their productivity and create healthier habits. Register now to save your spot!
