Save the Dates: Spring Faculty Convening Week, Jan. 6-9, 2025

Please save the following dates for our Spring Faculty Convening Week, January 6-9, 2025. Additional information, including Zoom links, will be posted in an upcoming issue of the Daily Flyer.

Monday, January 6: Spring Convening, via Zoom.

• 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.: College and campus updates followed by keynote speaker Jean Twenge, author and professor of psychology. Dr. Twenge’s presentation will focus on ways to meet the unique needs of Millennial and Gen-Z learners. 
• 11 a.m. until 12 p.m.: Break
• 12 p.m. until 1 p.m.: Q&A with Dr. Twenge.
• 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.: Showcase of faculty’s creative and academic endeavors, including presentations of sabbatical projects recently completed by NOVA faculty.

Tuesday, January 7: The WONDER Conference, in person. Ernst Center at Annandale Campus. Lunch provided.

• 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.: Participants will have first access to complimentary copies of A Pedagogy of Kindness by Cate Denial and Generations by Jean Twenge.

Wednesday, January 8: Spring 2025 campus opening meetings, in person.

Thursday, January 9: via Zoom.

• 9 a.m. until 10 a.m.: Academic Affairs Update 
• 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.: Discipline Group Meetings
