Daily Flyer Goes to Holiday Schedule!

Well, the holiday season has crept up on us, and now it’s here! The final issue of The Daily Flyer for 2024 will be Friday, December 20! We will return following the break with two issues (Tuesday and Thursday) during the weeks of January 6 and January 13; and then we will be back to our daily publication schedule beginning Tuesday, January 21. At that time, we will also embark on Phase Two of our Daily Flyer reno.

You will recall that in Phase One, we switched to a one-stop platform called Axios HQ. We made that change on August 1, and it has been well-received by our faithful readers.

Phase Two involves further streamlining both The Daily Flyer and our weekly student newsletter, Nighthawk News. In order to maintain reader interest, we will offer fewer stories, shorter stories and more dynamic appeal. This may be a bit of an adjustment for those who have relied solely on The Daily Flyer for event promotion. When we return after the holiday, we plan to host a brief webinar for contributors to discuss new developments for our college newsletters and visit other means of effectively publicizing collegewide events and activities. These might include campus newsletters, the online events calendar and NOVAnet, our college intranet site powered by SharePoint. Stay tuned for full details on the webinar.

We are looking forward to continuing to serve you through The Daily Flyer and Nighthawk News, and to making these publications even better for our faculty, staff and students! Meanwhile, we hope you and your loved ones enjoy a safe, restful and inspiring winter break, and we will see you back here in 2025!
