NOVA Esports League of Legends Wins NJCAAE National Championship

On Monday, the NOVA Esports League of Legends Varsity team captured their first National Junior College Athletic Association Esports (NJCAAE) National Championship in a decisive, 3-0 sweep of the Dallas County Richland Campus Thunderducks. All five Nighthawks players executed on their team strategy in each match, finding optimal chemistry and closing out a difficult semester with success. En route to this Finals matchup, NOVA Esports defeated rivals Wake Tech Community College in a 2-0 fast semi-finals series.

This marks the NOVA Esports Program’s seventh NJCAAE National Championship title in the past 4 years, building upon a strong history of performance, distinguishing itself as one of the best community college programs in North America.  NOVA Esports is proud of the dedication and effort of all students involved this semester, and looks forward to even more success in Spring 2025.
