Spring Hybrid Certification Training for NOVA Faculty Begins Jan. 6
Hybrid learning combines the strengths of in-person interaction with the flexibility of online learning to create a dynamic and engaging educational experience. By blending in-person or live Zoom sessions with online coursework, hybrid learning allows educators to maximize the benefits of both environments to support diverse student needs. Whether you are teaching a campus-based hybrid course or a virtual hybrid course via Zoom and Canvas, we are here to help!
Our hybrid certification course is designed to prepare faculty with the essential knowledge and skills to teach hybrid courses at NOVA. This asynchronous minicourse, offered on Canvas, features interactive learning activities to connect theory with practice and a hands-on opportunity to apply pedagogical knowledge and technology skills in a real-world context, peer review for learning and connection with your colleagues and self-reflection for application and continuous growth.
Here is the spring schedule. The first session starts Monday, January 6, just in time to prepare for the 13-week and second 7-week hybrid courses in the spring!
- Hybrid Certification Course, January 6 – February 2
- Hybrid Certification Course, April 7 – May 4
This fully online course allows you to learn anytime, anywhere within the course schedule. Register at GoSignMeUp by selecting Hybrid Teaching from the navigation menu.
