VIVA Grant Adds 42 more Free Textbook Titles for Spring 2025
NOVA Libraires was accepted into VIVA’s Curriculum Driven Acquisitions (CDA) Program for 2024-25 to assist students with lowering textbook costs. For the full list of 114 textbooks purchased by the program, please visit the LibGuide.
VIVA, which stands for the Virtual Library of Virginia, is the consortium of nonprofit academic libraries within Virginia. The CDA program is an open and affordable course content initiative supporting ebook purchases for bookstore course content available through library vendors for student classroom use. Any ebooks purchased through this program will be perpetual access, unlimited usage, unlimited users and Digital Rights Management (DRM)-free or DRM-light. The primary goal of the program is to reduce the cost of course materials for Virginia students by matching titles on bookstore lists to ebooks available for purchase or already held in VIVA shared ebook collections.
