NOVA Welding Skills USA Team Interest Meeting, Saturday, Jan. 25

Are you interested in joining the NOVA Welding Skills USA Team? If so, we invite you to attend our interest meeting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, at the Manassas Campus (MAW-108).

Skills USA is a national organization that provides students with opportunities to develop their technical, leadership and workplace skills. The welding competition is a great way to showcase your skills and compete against other students from around the country.

Additional information about Skills USA and the welding competition:

  • Skills USA is a national organization that provides students with opportunities to develop their technical, leadership and workplace skills. The organization offers a variety of programs and competitions for students in various career fields, including welding.
  • The Skills USA welding competition is a national competition that tests students’ skills in welding, fabrication and design. The competition is open to students in grades 9 through 12, as well as college students.
  • You must be a NOVA Welding student to join the team. 
  • Benefits of joining the Skills USA team:
    • Develop your technical skills
    • Gain leadership experience
    • Compete against other students from across the country
    • Network with industry professionals
    • Earn scholarships and awards

At the interest meeting, we will discuss the benefits of joining the Skills USA team, as well as the requirements for competing in the welding competition.
