Office of Strategic Insights New Staff Member

January 22, 2025 / Faculty/Staff Highlights

OSI welcomes its newest team member, Dr. Fardousa Wardere. Fardousa has a background in secondary education and has taught biology in Fairfax and Arlington counties for multiple years. She recently completed her doctoral degree in educational leadership at George Mason University (GMU). As a graduate student at GMU, Fardousa worked on projects such as SACSCOC accreditation with the office of Community Engagement and Civic Learning. She also worked on monitoring student engagement and retention, communication and outreach; and she created newsletters and presented workshops for prospective students for the College of Engineering and Computing. As a research assistant, Fardousa completed and submitted IRB applications and monitored multiple project timelines. In all her roles, she was able to collect and analyze data, create data visualizations and execute data-driven decisions that impacted the university.

Dr. Wardere will serve as a Research Assistant, and she is excited about her new role on the  Office of Strategic Insights’ Planning and Assessment team. Fardousa looks forward to managing the Administrative Units Planning and Evaluation (AUPE) reports, as well as processing the Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications.

Please take a moment and join me in welcoming Fardousa to NOVA at FWardere@nvcc.edu.
