AACC Announces 2025 Awards of Excellence Finalists

NOVA is pleased to announce that President Anne M. Kress and Cybersecurity Professor Kwabena Konadu were nominated as American Association of Community Colleges 2025 Awards of Excellence finalists—Kress in the categories of “Advancing Institutional Equity and Belonging” and “Student Success,” and Konadu as “Faculty Member of the Year.” Winners will be announced at the Awards of Excellence Gala on April 15 in Nashville.

The American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) is the primary advocacy organization for the nation’s community colleges. The association represents more than 1,000 two-year, associate degree–granting institutions and nearly 12 million students.

NOVA’s stellar faculty, staff and administration provide an exceptional education for students. President Kress and Professor Konadu exemplify the highest level of excellence in education, and we are extremely proud of them and thank them for their tireless efforts on behalf of the students, faculty and staff of Northern Virginia Community College!
