Healthy Weight Week: Set SMART Goals for a Healthy Weight
Thank you for joining the Office of Employee Wellness and Wellbeing for Healthy Weight Week 2025 (January 19 to January 25). Throughout the week, we’ve explored mindful eating, the importance of hydration, the benefits of smart snacking and the impact of stress on weight. Today, we encourage you to make SMART goals, setting yourself up for lasting weight management success.
“Setting goals is the first step from turning the invisible to visible.” –Tony Robbins
SMART or SMARTER goal setting is a process—an ongoing journey of growth and adjustment. Where are you in this process? What has worked well for you, and where do you need additional support in setting and implementing your goals? Now is the perfect time to reengage.
Just as we meticulously plan work projects or course outlines, if we apply the same SMART or SMARTER approach to our health and wellness goals can significantly increase our chances of success. SMART or SMARTER goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable/Attainable, Relevant, Time-bound, Evaluative and Rewarding) provide a structured framework for success. To help you stay on track with your wellness goals, consider using the OEWW Monday Campaigns: Weekly Check-In. It is a simple yet useful tool designed to help you pause, reflect and realign with your wellness goals. Whether thriving, managing or seeking clarity, a quick check-in helps you acknowledge emotions and recharge your energy to navigate an intentional path forward.
Looking Ahead! OEWW Monday Campaigns return on Monday, Jan 27. Use the power of Mondays to activate your wellness journey and create a healthier, happier you.
