Year Up Career Connect: Now Recruiting for Fall
NOVA is pleased to partner with Year Up United Career Connect, a program that enhances our career services offerings by leveraging proven curriculum and expert facilitators. We’re looking for your support to get information about this opportunity out to students. Please see below to learn more about the program and how to refer students.
Program Overview
Year Up United Career Connect empowers community college students to step confidently into their careers – over the course of just a few weeks and at no cost to them. Through this program, students gain career readiness skills in communication, leadership and self-development, along with practical career navigation skills like creating a resume, writing a cover letter and building a career plan. Equipped with these skills and the Career Connect experience, students can launch their careers after their time at NOVA.

This link can be shared with students and gives them a chance to learn more and apply: Year Up United Career Connect flyer. Application deadline is March 17, and the program begins March 24.
The program is best suited for NOVA students who are nearing the end of their degree or certificate program and are planning to pursue a full-time job after completion.
As the eyes and ears on campus, faculty/staff referrals are vital to recruit for this program. Please share the information with your classes and one on one with students who you feel would benefit. With your support, we can empower students to shape and embrace their careers.
