Advisors in the Spotlight: Meet Narmeen Badrah

February 17, 2025 / Faculty/Staff Highlights

NOVA’s academic advisors are the college’s secret weapon. They work on the front lines to ensure our students are prepared to succeed, helping them make their plan and achieve their goals. We want to recognize their hard work and thank them for all they do to make sure our students cross the finish line. We don’t want to keep them hidden, though, so we plan to feature these tireless workers so you can get to know them.

The “Advisors in the Spotlight” series is designed to celebrate the talented team behind our college’s impressive growth in enrollment, retention and completion initiatives. Through this series, we aim to showcase their hard work and commitment. Join us in acknowledging the incredible efforts of our Academic Advisors who make a significant impact on our community every day.

Advising Philosophy
Narmeen values helping students overcome anxiety and confusion, finding great satisfaction in hearing them say, “Thank you so much, I now have a clear path of what I need to do, you cleared a lot of confusion!” She believes advising is crucial, especially for students who may not have family members who graduated from college. She aims to be the starting point that helps them succeed.
