Commencement & Monday Final Exams
Commencement is Monday. May 12, at the Eagle Bank Area. May 12 is also the last day of final exams. (See the final exam schedule.) Like many graduation ceremonies across the country, the date is set based on factors that include when the venue is available.
Why is this important?
Some students who are planning to celebrate this milestone by attending commencement may have final exams on that day. In those situations, please work with the student and your dean or associate dean to find an alternate day for the student to take the exam. If you have questions or concerns, please talk with your dean or associate dean.
Other Important Information
Students are permitted to participate in commencement (as long as they have applied by March 1, 2025, and been approved) before their degrees are officially conferred. The certification of final grades and other requirements extends into early summer. Final grades for spring 2025 are due on Wednesday, May 14. This date cannot be extended since the faculty contract ends on May 15, 2025.
