Reminder on Gift Acceptance Policy

As part of our commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and compliance with state regulations, we would like to remind all employees about the importance of avoiding acceptance of gifts from vendors.

According to the Commonwealth of Virginia Agency Procurement and Surplus Property Manual and the 2010 Appropriation Act, Section 4-2.01.a., employees are prohibited from accepting any gifts, gratuities or favors from vendors or potential vendors. This policy is in place to ensure that all procurement activities are conducted with the highest level of integrity and transparency.

Accepting gifts from vendors can create a conflict of interest and may compromise the impartiality of our procurement processes. It is essential that we all adhere to these guidelines to maintain the trust and confidence of the public and our stakeholders.
