Step into wellness: Walk with Ease!
Today marks the launch of Walk with Ease! Over the next six weeks, our community will take steps—literally and figuratively—toward better health. Whether you’ve already registered or are just learning about this opportunity, it’s not too late to join! With our Spring 2025 NOVA Walk Week just six weeks away, Walk with Ease is the effective way to build momentum and prepare.
Why join Walk with Ease? This evidence-based program provides a structured and supportive approach to building a sustainable walking routine. Participants benefit from:
✅ a comprehensive guidebook and online tracking portal for guidance and motivation;
✅ flexible pacing—progress at your own speed with the option to adjust your start and end time;
✅ community support from OEWW and the opportunity to connect with NOVA colleagues around a shared goal;
✅ expert-designed progression to protect your joints and prevent injury;
✅ six weeks of structured activity from February 24 to April 4 to help you establish lasting habits.
Know before you go: Before beginning any new physical activity, it’s important to consider your current health status. The Walk with Ease portal and guidebook include a self-check to help you safely participate and make progress.
Use this tool to assess:
✔️ your current pain levels, fatigue, and physical limitations
✔️ your starting point and realistic goal-setting
If you answer “yes” to any of the health screening questions, consult your healthcare provider before beginning the program.
