ODU Community College Leadership Program Info Sessions, March 6 and 7
Dr. Mitchell R. Williams, a faculty member from Old Dominion University’s Community College Leadership (CCL) Program, will be at NOVA on Thursday and Friday, March 6 and 7. Faculty, administrators and staff are invited to two “drop-in sessions” to learn more about ODU’s Ph.D. program and graduate certificate in community college leadership.
Williams will be available in the Dean of Student Success conference room at the Alexandria Campus (AA) from 1-4 p.m. on Thursday, March 6. He will be on the Annandale Campus (CA-302) from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Friday, March 7.
Old Dominion is one of a very small number of universities that offer a “stand alone” Ph.D. in community college leadership. The program is now in its 23rd year of helping dedicated professionals to become senior leaders at community and technical colleges. Additionally, the CCL program offers a 15-credit graduate certificate, and all credits earned in the certificate are “stackable” into the Ph.D. Here are a few quick points about the CCL program at Old Dominion:
- Nationwide Student Body and Alumni Network: We are proud to host students from across the country, and we have program alumni in leadership positions in more than 30 states.
- Flexibility: Our programs are designed to accommodate working professionals, enabling them to conveniently maintain their career trajectory while earning a doctoral degree.
- Multiple Start Dates: Students in either the Ph.D. program or graduate certificate program can start during fall, spring or summer semesters.
- Stackable Credentials: The graduate certificate seamlessly and smoothly integrates into the Ph.D. program. All credits in the certificate are “stackable” into the Ph.D. program.
- Competitive Tuition Rates: We offer very competitive tuition. Those living outside Virginia pay “in-state” tuition, and our Ph.D. program is only 54 credits beyond a master’s degree.
