Student Juried Show “Wild Things” Reception March 13

The reception for “Wild Things”, the annual NOVA 3D Fine Arts Student Juried Show, will take place Thursday, March 13th from 5-7 p.m. in the AFA Gallery on the NOVA-Alexandria Campus.

Inspired by Maurice Sendak’s children’s book Where the Wild Things Are, this exhibition celebrates the diversity of NOVA’s students and their artistic voices. Making authentic art is a fiercely brave endeavor. Students are asked to submit artworks that elevate and personalize a class assignment. Whether using a known personal aesthetic or exploring a novel style, student submission should capture the viewer’s imagination.

Awards and announcements begin at 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided. Artist Rice Evans served as this year’s show’s juror. “Wild Things” is open to the public from March 5 – April 2, 2025.
