Walk with ease for kidney health
Wow! Look at you! Great job on Week 2! By now, you’ve started building a solid walking routine. As we step into Week 3 of the Walk with Ease challenge, let’s focus on an important health topic: kidney health.
March 13 is World Kidney Day, and March is National Kidney Month. Walking is a fantastic way to support kidney function, improve circulation and help manage conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes—two of the leading causes of kidney disease.
This Monday’s tip: Walk for kidney health!
Support your kidneys by maintaining an active lifestyle and making health-smart choices. Here are some simple steps to boost your kidney health:

✅ Monitor your blood pressure. Walking helps regulate blood pressure, reducing strain on your kidneys.
✅ Eat a balanced diet. Limit processed foods and opt for kidney-friendly choices like leafy greens, berries and whole grains.
✅ Get moving! Regular walks improve circulation and can help prevent kidney disease. Get moving now to be prepped and ready for Spring 2025 NOVA Walk Week!
