If you have students who might be interested in serving as a student conduct or Title IX advisor, please encourage them to sign up for one of the trainings.

  • In-person training:
  • Zoom training:
    • Friday, April 11
    • 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

What is a student conduct and Title IX advisor?

  • Student conduct advisor: As outlined in the Student Code of Conduct, this is someone designated by a complainant or accused student to assist during the hearing process. Advisors may include members of the campus community, parents, guardians, relatives, friends or attorneys.
  • Title IX advisor: As defined in Sexual Misconduct Policy 110, an advisor provides support, guidance and advice to the complainant or respondent. They may attend meetings or live hearings and conduct cross-examination during hearings but may not speak on behalf of the parties otherwise.

Those who would like to attend this training will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn about due process and the essential role that advisors play in the Title IX and student conduct processes.
  • Improve their understanding of the Title IX and student conduct processes.
  • Learn about the differences between the roles of an academic advisor, student conduct advisor and Title IX advisor.
  • Ask questions about the Title IX and student conduct processes.

Interested students should register for a session today.
