National Preparedness Month

September is National Preparedness Month and the Office of Emergency Management and Planning wants you to think about being prepared for all emergencies.  Whether it is a bomb threat or just a severe storm, you should make a plan for what you will do if something happens at home, work, or school.

Below is a link to the White House press release on National Preparedness Month which gives  information on getting prepared for emergencies as well as a link to the Virginia Department of Emergency Management’s “Pledge to Prepare” campaign.

OEMP encourages you to take the time to look at these sites and see what you can do to protect you and your family.
