Joe is a ____ Photography + Media graduate. Since graduation, he has built a successful business focused on sports photography. “As a non-traditional student, my time at NVCC helped me to progress into a photographer. The in-classroom instructors, instructions, and assignments provided insight, creativity, and determination. It is with the utmost gratitude I have for NVCC, its photography curriculum, and campuses for how important the military community is received, respected, educated, and encouraged to fulfill ambitions and goals. ” In response to the ongoing pandemic and the effect on collegiate and professional sports, Joe is retraining in portrait photography in preparations for weddings and engagements business.

“In April 2016, I decided to enroll in NOVA Community College’s photography program — I had purchased my first DSLR only a month before. The NOVA photography program — and of course its professors — put me on the fast track to become a successful photographer and business owner in just three years.
Six months after graduating summa cum laude in 2019, I opened my first portrait studio. This timeline would never have been possible without the NOVA photography program and its professors. ”
