Today all Major League Baseball players wore uniforms with the number 42 to honor Jackie Robinson.

Robinson’s number was retired from all teams. Today just one MLB player can still wear #42 on his back. (He was grandfathered in.) Do you know who this is? Yankee fans will know this one.

Delighted to attend Elizabeth Lieberman’s Legacy Lecture on April 10th. Liz came to NOVA in 1968 and retired from teaching mathematics in December 2011. The Legacy Lecture is a tradition at the Annandale Campus honoring retiring faculty.
