Robert Bausch Fiction Prize ($250)

The Northern Virginia Review’s annual Robert Bausch Fiction Prize was created in 2019 to honor the late NOVA English professor and highly regarded author who passed away in 2018. Robert Bausch was the critically acclaimed author of ten books and winner of the John Dos Passos Prize in Literature, awarded in 2009, for his body of work. As an educator, he mentored hundreds of young writers, and was a 2013 recipient of the prestigious SCHEV Outstanding Faculty Award.
The 2019 Robert Bausch Fiction Prize winner is Virginia-based author Bill Glose for his story “Her Brother’s Apartment.” Glose was awarded the prize at TNVR’s 2019 Launch Celebration in March. Best-in-Genre Prizes
Prizes of $175 will be awarded for the best published work in poetry, non-fiction, and art/photography.
