About

The Alexandria Campus is a World Campus

The Languages, Arts, and Social Sciences Division at the Alexandria Campus is a great place to study where humanity has been, and where it might be going to gain skills useful in shaping both a personal future and the future of humanity

We offer courses in Literature, Politics, Economics, Geography, History, Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology, Education, Music, Photography, the Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Communications, Theatre, and Cinema, and many more designed to build competencies to better understand and help shape the world around us.

Our English and our Communication Studies courses assist in fostering essential skills.  These offerings are the foundation upon which all future studies, as we as success in life, are built.

We are home to the finest English as a Second Language program in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  A variety of courses at every level of English proficiency prepare students from around the world for college-level work in America.

As commerce, culture, and ideas continue to flow across national lines with increasing ease and speed, the ability to dialogue comfortably and confidently in a second language is not a luxury, it is a necessity.  We offer several of the world’s most widely spoken languages.
