New Publication in Diversity and Distributions with NOVA Students

In spring 2014, ENV 121 and 122 students participated in a collaborative research project called Toads, Roads, and Nodes.  Students used real data from the North American Amphibian Monitoring Program and a GIS mapping program to investigate which habitat variables affect frog species abundance.  Three students traveled with Dr. Bozarth to Santa Barbara, CA to participate in data analysis with faculty and students from eleven colleges at the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis.  Here is the new publication: Effects of Roads and Land Use on Frogs Across Spatial Scales and Regions in the Eastern and Central United States.
