Annandale Lyceum Event: Mohamed Del: A Beacon of Hope and Education, Sept 28
September is Deaf Awareness Month, and the Annandale Campus Lyceum Committee welcomes Mohamed Del to discuss deaf education in Africa. This virtual event will be held on Thursday, September 28 from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. Click here to register and receive the zoom link.
Mohamed Del, a well-known figure in deaf education and advocacy, has achieved incredible success from Somalia to the United States. He pushes for Somalian Sign Language development and advocates for Deaf schools in Somalia. At Global Deaf Muslim, he has greatly impacted language instruction, especially in teaching Arabic. Del spreads his influence through panel discussions, promoting Muslim sign language materials, and fostering understanding among diverse religious perspectives. His inspiring journey, marked by resilience and determination amidst civil unrest, serves as a shining example for the Deaf community. Join us in honoring the outstanding contributions of Mohamed Del this Deaf Awareness Month.
