Annandale Lyceum Committee Presents Robin Rohrback on Recent Trip to Ukraine, Nov. 1
The Annandale Campus Lyceum Committee welcomes the Annandale Campus’s Science Learning Center and Lab Equipment Coordinator Robin Rohrback to present “I Wonder if ‘Jackhammers for the Unicorn Brigade’ Is the Weirdest Thing I’ll Have to Find in This War” and to discuss her recent trip to Ukraine. This event will be held on NOVA’s Annandale Campus (CA-302) on Wednesday, November 1, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m.
Ukraine’s military and humanitarian successes rest in part on the DIY ethos of Ukrainian civil society and the global network of volunteers who support it. In March 2023, Rohrback took a quick trip to Kyiv to deliver more than 100 pounds of volunteer-sourced supplies. In this compelling discussion, she will discuss her trip, a few of the volunteers she works with and the astonishing work they do.
Rohrback has been active in Ukrainian matters since the 2013–2014 Revolution of Dignity, serving with Euromaidan Press, Ukraine Front Line, Renegade Relief Runners and assorted individual projects.
