Since 2003, The NVCC-Manassas Campus has established access to early childhood courses through off-campus sites; classes are scheduled at conveniently located childcare centers in the area. These off-campus locations have been a valuable contribution with regard to outreach and access to courses leading to career study, certificate and degrees in the early childhood programs. In the spring 2015 semester, enrollment in these NVCC-Manassas off-campus sites was seventy-four students.
The NVCC Schedule of Classes outlines availability of courses for each semester. Students are encouraged to seek academic advising prior to enrolling in classes. The early childhood faculty are happy to assist students and to select the appropriate courses that will meet their training and career goals.
THANK YOU to long-standing and new childcare programs and their directors who work to continue this schedule of classes at off-campus sites; it’s an outreach strategy that has successfully provided access to high quality early childhood courses in this area.
