Tau Nu is the Alexandria Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. The current president of the Tau Nu chapter is Sardi Johnson.  Ms. Gordon serves as the Contact Adviser.  Drs. Emblom and Stantcheva are the faculty advisers.

Why Join Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society

First of all, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society has exclusive membership. You will be joining a community of high-achieving, academically outstanding students who share your drive for excellence and success.

As a member of Phi Theta Kappa, you are entitled to certain perks. In recognition of your membership, you will receive the official Phi Theta Kappa membership pin and a Certificate. Your membership will be shown on your official college transcripts, and you can wear the official Phi Theta Kappa gold stole and gold tassel at your graduation ceremony.

As a PTK member,  you will also have access to academic scholarships at all academic levels, including transfer scholarships.

Active participation in PTK events will also present you with opportunity to work closely with the faculty advisers, which will make it easier to request and obtain letters of recommendations in the future. You can also serve as local and regional officers, attend and present at PTK conferences, and gain invaluable leadership experience.

Accept Your Membership

Membership in Phi Theta Kappa is offered to eligible students by invitation only. Contact Ms. Gordon if you meet the eligibility criteria but have not received an invitation.

Once you have received your invitation, you can accept your membership online at the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society Acceptance Page. There is a one-time membership free.

Then, come and celebrate with us at the next Induction Ceremony. Don’t forget to invite your family, as well!
