Training Opportunities for Students:
The Open Computer Lab proudly provides training to all students in various subjects ranging from Microsoft Office, Tips and Tricks for Research on the Internet, MyNOVA, Database applications, cloud storage, HTML,  How to prevent malicious attacks on your computer, and more.

Assistance with login IDs and NVCC-Email Account
Having trouble logging in? Or maybe you can’t figure out how to access your student e-mail account? Or for that matter, maybe you didn’t know that you had an account at all? We’re here to help!

Assistance with School Work (of All Levels)
The OCL team members are available to help you complete your coursework. The staff can help support you with any additional software that you may need for your classes.  No question is too simple or too complex, please feel free to ask for help from the staff present in the labs.

Scanners and Printers
You’ve spent all that time perfecting your designs/assignments and you’re ready to print? The OCL has several high-resolution printers, and supports color printing as well. We also have a flatbed scanner and some high speed scanners that are free to use for students and faculty.  Please ask the staff to teach you alternative methods for scanning documents.

Registration and Admissions Assistance
Want some quick help with registering for a class, or you are new to the campus, college, or country, we are here to help.  The OCL staff speak eight different languages among themselves.  Come to the OCL and ask one of the staff members to walk you through the online process.

 Telephone Support
Stuck at home with a computer problem or need some information about the labs; give us a call for support over the phone. We can walk you through many of the common computer problems step-by-step.  However, they may come a time that you’ll be asked to come to the lab if the nature of the problem is too complex to handle over the phone.
