App of the Week: Symbaloo

1Symbaloo – a visual bookmarking tool that lets users add all their favorite links and websites in a format that is easy to use, by displaying them as icons or logos.

Symbaloo stores the user’s bookmarks “in the cloud” so that the user can access the favorite sites from any device in any place with an internet connection.

The user needs to enter a name, an email address, and a password to register and then click on a verification email to use all site features and change their preferences.

Symbaloo uses colorful tiles that the user can easily arrange and organize to create a visually appealing “webmix” (or layout).

The user can drag and drop items to organize them in a way that is convenient and practical.

The favorite items can be searched so users can find those that are most relevant to the items they are adding.

The user can connect Facebook and Twitter to a Symbaloo account to facilitate sharing pages or individual links.
