2015 Summer Structured Advising

The 2015 Summer Advising Center is located in Academic Services Center (ASC), AA229.  Faculty advisors will advise all continuing NOVA students.  Following are the days and times:

Duration of Advising: July 6 through August 14

Hours: Monday-Thursday 11AM-7:30PM and Friday 10AM-5PM

Summer advisors will provide:

  • general academic advising (all majors)
  • general transfer advisement
  • course substitution
  • change of major
  • general advising for students on academic probation (although students should sign up for a PASS Group Advising Session)
  • helpful information on SAP appeal (students have to schedule an appointment with the SAP Advisor, Shirley Delgado, in AA194)

All continuing students are encouraged to go to AA229 for their advising needs.

Resume & Job Search workshop on July 15

Resume Writing & Job Search Workshop in Arlington:                      
Free & open to the public.

Wednesday, July 15, 10 am – 1 pm at the Arlington Employment Center (2100 Washington Blvd, Arlington, 22204).

This workshop will walk you through a 6-step resume writing process designed to get your résumé noticed by both online systems (Applicant Tracking Systems) and recruiters/hiring managers.

You will leave with invaluable information that will significantly improve your résumé quality and overall job search success.

Dynamic Session Classes:  Although you may see other tuition due dates when viewing your account online, follow these payment deadlines.

If you enroll: Tuition payment is due:
Through July 26 By 5 p.m. July 27, or your classes may be dropped
July 27 or later By 5 p.m. the next business day after you enroll, or your classes may be dropped

NOVA may drop your classes if tuition is not paid by the deadline.
