NOVA STUDENT FILM CLASSES

NOVA STUDENT FILM CLASSES

Dear Colleagues,

In the Fall 2014, CST film students from the Alexandria campus (members of the Film Collaborative International) started the development phase of making 4-shorts films. These included students from my Screenwriting, Film Directing, Acting for the Camera and Film Appreciation classes. Students wrote scripts, auditioned actors, and rehearsed. They were given complete creative control; well almost complete, as I have had to remind them occasionally that NOVA is a state institution.

The objective was 2-fold:  Pretty young woman holding a clapper.

1) Promote film courses

2) Give film students a chance to apply, what they learned in these film classes

The result, by Spring 2014 we went into production; the films were shot & edited and screened at the 1st Annual NOVA Student Film Festival – Alexandria, thanks be to GOD!

Now I am happy to report that I am putting these films into good use. Here is the film classes line up for the Fall 2014: http://blogs.nvcc.edu/lgebre/?page_id=104

Enjoy the films and please help spread the word. As always, I am grateful to the Alexandria Village for your continued support!
