“Elect Her – NOVA Women Win!”
Registration now open! “Elect Her – NOVA Women Win!” is an event which trains women students to run for student government positions this spring and encourages women to run for local, state and national elected positions in their future. This free leadership training program is open to women students at all campuses and is scheduled for Friday, February 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 pm at the Alexandria Campus. This free, nationally acclaimed training program, designed to address the need to expand the pipeline to women running for office and diminish the longstanding political leadership gender gap, is co-sponsored by the Alexandria Campus Women’s Center, Running Start, and the American Association of University Women (AAUW). Seating is limited to 50 women students from all six campuses and includes ELI students. To register, contact Pat Gordon at pgordon@nvcc.edu to receive a registration form.
