Bellevue University offers a unique college experience – something we call the BRUIN experience. Bellevue University is a private, non-profit institution that is regionally accredited by The Higher Learning Commission. We take the time to make sure our students find the right fit and land in a program that is relevant to their educational and career aspirations. Bellevue University remains cost effective by accepting the entire associate’s degree, offering accelerated programs, accepting every college level credit in every associate’s degree, there are no transfer or application fees and you can complete bachelor’s degree online in as little as 18 months.

I know that we have had to make some major adjustments to how we interact with our students now that most of us are working remotely. I wanted to let you know that I am still available to speak with and work with your students. In the spirit of that, we here at UMW will be hosting Daily (Monday-Friday) Transfer Webinars at 4:00 PM. The webinar will consist of a Virtual Information Session and a Q&A. Please direct any of your interested students to following link to register for the events. Also, I am working on setting up a virtual on-site admissions event that will be available to your students. Details will follow soon. If you all have any questions, please let me know. Thank you for all your help and being so accommodating in these last few weeks.
Thank you for your interest in the RN-BSN curriculum at ODU!
Our intake advising team is available to assist you with a review of your transcripts to help you develop a plan of study to complete your BSN at ODU. For assistance, please email a copy of your transcripts to our intake advisors as follows.
The New Monarch Transfermation, now available through the link below, allows prospective students to not only see how their credits may transfer to ODU but how they fall into their intended major by providing a degree plan.
Our RN-BSN nursing courses are available online. The online format offers flexible scheduling around rotating shift-work. Both nationally and state accredited, the BSN program consists of 120–126 semester credits; sixty-six (66) credits in the nursing major and 54-60 credits in liberal arts and sciences which fulfill the university’s general education requirements.
In addition to general education and non-nursing departmental requirements, students will complete 33 upper division nursing credits. Registered nurses are awarded, at no cost, 33 credits toward the BSN for prior nursing education. Non-nursing credits are accepted in transfer from other colleges and universities. A grade of “C” or better is necessary for transfer credit. In some cases, students may receive additional transfer credit for nursing coursework. All students must complete 30 semester hours at ODU to be awarded a degree from ODU. Fall, spring, and summer enrollment is available.
